$They have a giant sand sculpture at the fair - this year\'s theme was Dr. Seuss.$

$Elisa is a huge Wegman\'s grocery store fan, as apparently many in upstate New York are. We visited twice a day each day of our visit (the breakfast bar area is phenomenal).$

$The 1000 island area in the St Lawrence seaway has islands of all sizes and areas.. the house on the right of the picture is on it\'s own island (I am guessing around 2000 sq ft).$ $This is the \"children\'s castle\" at Boldt Castle. It was intended as sort of a funhouse separate from the main house and includes a bowling alley, game room, and lookout tower. It was never originally finished however, and remains largely in ruins.$

$Coming back on the ferry, we spotted this guy with a water jet suit. I think it\'s officially on my bucket list to try out!!$ $We enjoyed Labor Day at uncle Tom\'s lake house property about 25 min outside of the city. They have a beautiful property with peaceful dock on a shared lake. Apparently the fishing is fantastic!$
